I thought this double cheeseburger was so delicious. It was salty with great seasoning. The hamburger was so flavorful and rich. The bread was soft. It was pretty big, too! The guys working there are cool. The place could use a little more love concerning some decor but over all, it's a great place to stop for a smashburger and fries.
*Update* Redemption. It was great. Burger was good and fries were on point. Will come back.
This spot appears to look like a hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Despite the looks, the single patty burger I tried was a solid 9/10. It may look unassuming from the outside, but the food is good. There are a few small tables inside but next time I would order to go. I would recommend getting the double burger since it is a smashburger and the patty becomes quite thin. I did not order lettuce, tomato, or other toppings but had I known that you must add them on, it would have made the burger a 10/10. The bread appears to be a brioche bread and they use an orange sauce that reminds me of in-n-out but is quite different. The pricing is moderate but this place is definitely worth a visit. I will say, the service was not the greatest and there was about a 20min wait for our order. Besides that the burgers are fantastic
Best burgers and fries it's so fire The staff is amazing always feel really welcomed and there's free water cups
Burgers and fries are the best in the game! The homemade sauce is bomb. Everything on the menu is good and worth trying, definetley recommend to anyone!
Had this one bookmarked for awhile, but put it off for the sole reason that I am seriously over this smashed burger trend in Los Angeles (or is it countrywide?). I've had good ones, bad ones (looking at you Goldburger), and mediocre ones. Most new burger places are smash burgers. It's near impossible to find an old fashioned steakhouse thick burger. That being said, this is one of the all time best smash burgers I've ever had. Located in a small Whittier strip mall, the place seems to be undergoing renovations. As people have said, the interior leaves a lot to be desired. Just two four top tables inside, which have placards taped to them asking you not to sit there unless you have 3 or 4 people during peak hours. Otherwise, there are a few (and I mean maybe four) other tables outside. Not gonna be pleasant outside in summer. I went on a Thursday afternoon, and it was empty except for one other table, so it wasn't a problem for me. There are water stains on the ceiling. The entire counter has been patched up with fresh wood and spackle. It's like they opened while building the place, but they've been open I believe for a couple of years, so I don't know what's going on. Hopefully their appearance one day matches their high ratings and food magazine reviews. This smash burger is rated as one of the best if not the best smash burger in Los Angeles. It deserves better than a grungy hole in the wall with one "Bloodsport" poster (not that there's anything wrong with the JCVD classic). The parking lot is also tiny, and it's one of those tiny lots with incredibly small spaces meant for Smart Cars and Priuses. I don't know what the street parking situation is like. The counter woman was very nice and friendly. Prices are fair. The two guys cooking seem a bit surly, but that's fine. Who cares? Once again, the burger is the star. The bun could be slightly bigger. The burgers hang over each side, making for a messy eat. I think that's supposed to be part of the experience. I'd like to try their patty melt on rye bread and almost did this time. However, the counter gal sold me on their "award-winning" double cheeseburger with grilled onions and their fry sauce. I added some bacon. The thing I must mention, which their counter gal told me was that the fry sauce was like a In-N-Out sauce but 100 times better. I have to honestly agree. Usually, every burger joint in town puts a thousand island spread, but it's always exactly the same. I usually ask for it to be held and just go with ketchup cause I'm so over it. However, their fry sauce tastes absolutely nothing like In-N-Out sauce. It is much more delicate and tastes so much better. I asked for my fries extra crispy/well done, because I saw some people complained about limp fries. Mine were perfectly crispy. They were enough for two to share if you are not too hungry. It was enough for me and my teen. I recommend this place highly. I know they have more locations, but I can't speak for the quality at the others. This place is somewhere I will definitely go back to. Check it out!
Fantastic little spot with bomb smash burgers. Holy cow!!! Guy behind the register didn't have the best customer service skills... insisting we only order burgers and not a patty melt or other items. BUT he wasn't wrong. Those burgers were divine!!! Everything is cooked fresh to order and was ready within 10-15 min post order. The burger sauce they use is great, similar to chick fil a sauce in flavor, but a little more Dijon flavor and I think cayenne pepper. I could put that sauce on everything!!! Great spot!! I've now recommended it to several friends to try. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!
To my surprise, there was a closer location near me. Didn't need to drive all the way to LA, so that's a plus! I love a good smash burger and this place did not disappoint. Got the cheeseburger with two patties and added jalapeños. It was delicious. Def. a spot I'll be returning too! Place isn't big and the parking lot is a bit small. Luckily we came earlier enough and found parking, but seems like people come and go. For The Win you were great!
Went right before closing on a Saturday night around 6:30pm (yes they really do close @7pm sadly) and it was packed. And also for reference their parking lot is on the smaller side(maybe less than 10 spots?) Quick to order, gives hole in the wall type of vibes, quick water/condiment station. Took about 10 min to get our food and was great! I like it better than Burgers Never Say Die bc of the sauce (which tastes more garlicky than thousand island). Bun was well made and the meat was a great texture. My friend group loved the loaded fries too Would definitely love to come back!
